Elizabeth Garner, 82 of Greenwood, Indiana formerly of Indianapolis, Indiana went to her heavenly home December 1, 2016. She was born on February 14, 1934 in Clinton County, Kentucky to the late Roy and Ermon (Cummings) Johnson. She was joined in marriage to Noel C. Garner on July 25, 1953. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of the Shelby Street Pentecostal Lighthouse Church and formerly a member of West Newton Full Gospel Tabernacle. Her family shared that Elizabeth’s passion was caring for her family, as she considered this her highest calling. Elizabeth enjoyed quilting, sowing, canning, and working in the women’s mission group at church. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Smith, Sherry Terry, Tammy Wyatt; sister, Violet York; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 4 great- great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Noel, 1 sister, 3 brothers, a granddaughter, and a great granddaughter. Services will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 11 AM at the Shelby Street Pentecostal Lighthouse Church (8620 S. Shelby Street Indianapolis, Indiana 46227) with visitation there from 10 AM. The service will be officiated by Rev. Matthew Cox. Additional visitation for Elizabeth will be Monday, December 5, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan- Decatur Township. She will be laid to rest at Concordia Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN. The family request any memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
