Elizabeth Doris McLimore (nee Dyson) died January 31, 2017. She was born September 14, 1932 in Holland, Kentucky to the late Robert D. and Sally B. Dyson (nee Pitchford).
She was a graduate of the University of Louisville, and worked as a teacher for Crooked Creek Middle School in Indianapolis. She gave up her teaching career to devote herself as a full-time wife, home-maker, and mother.
She is survived by her brother Gene Dyson and his wife Linda of Louisville, Kentucky; children Laura Wilson, her husband Ken; John McLimore, his wife Stacia all of Carmel, IN; seven grandchildren: Jason and Kristin Guhl of Kalamazoo, Michigan; Jonathan, Jared, and Elizabeth Guhl; Sarah, Rachel and John Henry McLimore all of Carmel, Indiana; and three great-grandchildren: Kaylyn, Audrey and Elyse Guhl of Kalamazoo, MI. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, and a host of long-time friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Henry McLimore in 2010.
Viewing will be 11:00 AM to I:00 PM Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan – Carmel, 325 E. Carmel Drive, with the funeral at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Allisonville Road. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Elizabeth D.
