Elijah James Abrego February 9, 2002 – February 3, 2022
Son, brother, grandson, great-grandson, nephew, cousin, lover & friend.
Eli, you were loved by so many.
Survived by his dad Mike, ma Jess, sister Ali, his girl Mar and family: Hulme, Wittgow, Gardner, Ortega, Abrego, Nicolet, Garcia, Wiater, Griffith, Saviers, Puls, McNiel, Wamberg, Gately, Wetterling, & Nelson.
Eli found peace on the shores and in the shallows of coasts and lakes. He loved exploring the outdoors and skipping rocks. He was an avid gamer, hip hop fan & consumer of multimedia.
Eli was a beautiful human with a big heart and kind soul. He loved family, friendship and loyalty. He was always quick with a smart answer, funny quip or a viewpoint that you had never considered.
Eli was a committed, loving brother, who assumed the role of the third parent until the very end. There is no doubt that Eli will continue to guide Ali on her path. As the oldest cousin, on his mom’s side, he embraced the role with pride. He loved them as a whole and sought opportunities to connect with each of them in a unique way that was special to the two of them. On his dad’s side he relished being part of a tribe. Eli loved the knowledge and wisdom he received from the older cousins and imparted his knowledge on the younger ones.
Eli you will be forever missed, loved and in our hearts.
