Elder Pleas Clemons Jr.

Indianapolis, Indiana

Elder Pleas Clemons Jr. was born in Martin, Tennessee to the late Pleas Clemons Sr. and Mable Henderson Clemons. Pleas was one of nine children. He professed his love for Jesus Christ at an early age at Martindale Church of Christ in Indianapolis, Indiana. Pleas graduated from Broad Ripple High School where he enjoyed playing football. He later joined the United States Navy to serve his country with dignity until he retired. In 1997 he married Ella Coleman and they were able to enjoy one another for 23 years. Pleas retired from ConAgra Foods December of 2019 after working for 10 years. He loved spending time with his family, serving the Lord and fishing. Pleas was a member of Jesus Is The Light and recently received certification to minister.

He was preceded in death by both parents, two sisters, and a brother. Elder Pleas Clemons Jr. departed this life on October 26, 2020 at the age of 67. He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife Ella Clemons, sons Pleas Clemons III, and Donell Clemons, his daughters Adria White (Anthony), Sandy Berry (Calvin) of Indianapolis, Indiana, as well as, stepdaughters LaRonda Dixon (David), Rita Bankhead, Kim Muhammad (Guy), LaToya Gilbert (Greg). He was also survived by his sisters Eunice Brooks and Rita Gray of Indianapolis, Indiana, brothers Anthony Clemons of Indianapolis, Indiana, William Edward of Martin, Tennessee and Harry James of Lansing, Michigan. Between the two they have 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
