Elaine J. Conklin

Elaine Jean Wilson Conklin, 74, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully May 20^th, 2022. She was born in Worthington, Indiana to parents Wendell and Reba (Hauser) Wilson.

Elaine was a proud graduate of Methodist Nursing school. She worked as an RN for many years at IU Methodist before retiring.

In 2004, she married Charles “Chuck” Conklin. She and Chuck shared many wonderful years together.

Elaine was a valued member of Avon Christian Church, and the elected treasurer and secretary for the Methodist Nursing Association.

Elaine was a charming, gregarious lady. Sailing was her passion, which she shared with Chuck. They sailed the oceans for over 17 years before settling down. She was a fascinating, independent individual, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Chuck; son Eric Conklin and his wife Jewell Stone; and her sister Karen Dennis.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Elaine will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
