Edward Louis “Louie” Flynn was taken from us on December 15, 2020 at the age of 66.
Louie was born in Indianapolis on January 6, 1954 to the late Edna and Floyd Flynn.
Louie was a dedicated employee of the Indianapolis Star News. He would have celebrated his 50 year anniversary in September of 2021. Louie was the first person you saw when you entered the Star News building. He always greeted everyone with a warm smile. He was well-liked by his fellow employees and will be greatly missed.
Louie never met a stranger. He was always happy to carry on a conversation and usually was speaking about his grandchildren or great-grandchildren. He had so many friends and was loved by all.
Louie was also an enthusiastic motorcyclist. He enjoyed riding and caring for his Harley. He made many friends on his rides and enjoyed riding with his wife, family, and friends.
Louie is survived by his loving wife, Gayl, sons Christopher (Katie) and Dale (April) LaHue. He was a wonderful grandfather to Evan Flynn, Jessica (Dan) Lamott, Duane and Faith LaHue, Cheyenne and Allie Dickey. Louie is also survived by his sisters Lynette Eggers and Janet Hoover and brother Kelly. He was a loving and supportive uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
There will be a big hole missing in future family gatherings. Louie was always such a positive force and will be missed by all.
