Edward L. Ruble

Edward L. Ruble, age 77, of Robinson, Ill passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 4:19 p.m. at Indiana University Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind.

Mr. Ruble was born December 22, 1941 in East Chicago, Ind.  After serving three years in the United States Army, he married Rita (Cummins) Ruble on August 20, 1966 who survives.  He worked for nearly 30 years for Union Carbide in Texas, Indiana and in Robinson, Ill.  He also worked as a truck driver for Transport Services for 12 years before retiring.  Mr. Ruble enjoyed traveling and fishing.

Also surviving Mr. Ruble is his son Steven Ruble and his wife Susan (Goodwin) Ruble, Indianapolis, Ind, his daughter, Teresa (Ruble) Clark and her husband Steven Clark, Navarre, Fla, and two grandchildren, Meagan Clark and Keegan Clark, also of Navarre, Fla.  Preceding Mr. Ruble in death was an infant son, Edward L. Ruble Jr. 

At Mr. Ruble’s request, he will be cremated along with a private memorial service for immediate family members.  To recognize the exceptional care provided to Mr. Ruble over the last several weeks, online donations can be made in his name to the Indiana University Health Foundation, or at Methodist Medical Tower, 1633 N.
