Edward L. Novitski

Edward L. Novitski, 79, Carmel, passed away March 3, 2017. He was born December 9, 1937, in Ft. Wayne, the son of the late Anthony and Anna (Auer) Novitski.

Edward was a 1955 graduate of Central Catholic High School in Ft. Wayne. He was a Manager for International Harvester for 21 years. He and his wife relocated to Carmel in 1983. He enjoyed birdwatching and loved animals, especially the family dogs. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and creating many memories on family vacations to the beaches of North and South Carolina.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia Ann Novitski; three children, Jeanne Lynn (Timothy) Garrison of Charlotte, NC, Gary Lee (Nancy) Novitski of Cicero, and Ronald Louis (Sherry) Novitski of Carmel; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in passing by a son, Edward Leon Novitski Jr.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Flanner and Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 9, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10655 Haverstick Road. The committal ceremony will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Catholic Cemetery, Ft. Wayne. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
