Edward Timothy Gasser, beloved husband, devoted father, and loving brother, left this world far too soon on February 9, 2025, at the age of 54.
Ed was born on February 7, 1971 to John and Mary Ann Gasser in Davenport, Iowa. He graduated from Assumption High School in Davenport and went on to earn a degree in finance from the University of Northern Iowa. It was there he met Amy Vandeventer, to whom he was united in marriage on August 10, 1996 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Shortly after their wedding, the two moved to Indiana to start their new life together.
Ed was a hard worker who believed in the importance of education. He later earned his Masters in Accounting from IUPUI. However, above all else, Ed cherished time with his family. He never missed a game, match, performance, concert, or ceremony, always there to cheer on his kids and support them. In his free time, he found joy in reading, watching Jeopardy, taking walks with the dogs, following sports, and playing board games. He listened, showed kindness to others, and brought joy to everyone he met.
Ed is survived by his loving wife, Amy; children, James Stanton and Kathryn Grace; siblings, Michael Gasser, Christine Bichler, and Amy Beavers; numerous nieces and nephews; father-in-law James Vandeventer; and sister-in-law Lori Vandeventer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Ann Gasser; his brother, Stephen Gasser; and his mother-in-law, Karen Vandeventer.
Edward will be honored during a Memorial Gathering on February 22, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00 PM, both held at Fishers United Methodist Church, located at 9691 E 116th St, Fishers, IN 46037.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX, 75284, or by clicking HERE.
