Edward A. Gordon, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at the age of 83. He was born in Pontiac, Illinois on February 1, 1936 to Elmer and Ferne (Baum) Gordon.
Edward attended Pontiac High School and was a graduate of the class of 1952. Upon his graduation, he became a Union Book Binder and continued this career until his retirement. During his life he enjoyed many hobbies, music being one of his favorites, he played harmonica, guitar, and the mandolin. Edward also had a large interest in road motorcycles and was an avid fan of motorcycle racing.
Edward was preceded in death by: his parents, Elmer and Ferne Gordon; wives, Janet (Schultheis) Gordon, who passed in January of 1986 in Indianapolis, IN and Jerrie C. (Utt) Gordon, who passed in July of 2019 in Pineville, Arkansas.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory: Matthew A. Gordon of Indianapolis, IN; Michael and Amanda Gordon of Flanagan, IL; Jeffrey E. Gordon of Indianapolis, IN; Mike and Susie Nehez of Greenwood, IN; Tommy Nehez of Whiteland, IN; and his two grandchildren, Eric R. Gordon of Colorado Springs, CO; and Andrea M. Gordon of Macomb, IL.
Edward will be laid to rest in Pontiac, IL, alongside Janet and his parents Elmer and Ferne.
