Edmund J. Seib III died in his sleep on the evening of April 23rd. Ed was a loving husband, father, brother, son, uncle, and friend.
Ed grew up on a farm outside of Huntingburg, Indiana. He attended college in Indianapolis splitting time between Butler and IUPUI. It was at the Newman Center at Butler where he met his wife Norma. They spent 42 years together. They spent their time raising six children, attending countless sporting events, helping with homework, traveling to their home away from home New Orleans, and later in life babysitting grandchildren.
His Catholic faith was a cornerstone of his life. He was an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas church. He served on the athletic committee, was a scout leader, and even drove the school bus. He took pride in being a provider for his family and worked hard as an accountant and later in life a driver for Catholic Social Services. He will be remembered by all he knew for his sense of humor and kindness.
He is preceded in death by his wife Norma, daughter Lisa Seib, granddaughter Maddie Seib, and his parents Edmund Jr. and Mary. He is survived by his sisters Barb Bircher and Joetta Ewing, his children Ed IV (Jane), John (Julie), Matt (Brittany), Christie Stinette (Michael) and Michael (Caitlin) and his grandchildren: Eddie V., Daisy, Frankie, June, David, Grace, Jack, Charlotte, Gigi, Luke, Emily, and Caroline.
There will be a visitation at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park North on Thursday April 27th from 6:00-8:00 pm and a funeral Mass at Saint Thomas Aquinas on Friday, April 28th at 11:00. Burial will be immediately afterward at Washington Park North Cemetery.
