Earnest D Barnes

On this day April 29, 2020 our Dad, Earnest D Barnes, went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born to Charles and Ruth Barnes November 3rd 1935 in Indianapolis IN. He is preceded in death by our Mother Janice K Barnes (Snoddy), his parents: Charles Barnes, and Ruth and Bud Pearcy; along with 3 brothers: Bill Barnes, Bob Barnes, Don Barnes; and 4 sister: Joann Carter, Alberta Scott, Mary Druen, and Doris Varvel. He is survived by 5 children: Tim Barnes, Marianne (David) Steele, Brenda Weaver, Lorraine (Charlie) Zehm and Julia Keasler; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; as well as 2 sisters: Edna Snoddy and Barbara Harrington. Dad was a hardworking man with a kind heart. He loved his family and his favorite time of year was Christmas. He also loved living at the lake with our mother and always loved it when we could all be together there. We have plenty of good memories to hold us over until we see him again. Rest in peace Dad, we love you. Dad will be laid to rest next to our Mother at Washington Park East.
