Earl J. Peace

Earl J. Peace, age 86, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017. He was born on September 28, 1930 in Jay, Oklahoma as the son of George and Dessie Peace. He married Taeko Miyake on June 17, 1954.

Earl served in the U.S. Army for 20 years. He worked for Financial Center Credit Union for 20 years. Earl enjoyed working on cars, remodeling his home and spending time with his family.

Earl will be lovingly missed by his wife, Taeko Peace; children, Edward (Nanci) Peace, Debra (the late Blake) Decatur and Suzanne (Donald) Zentz; grandchildren, Eddie (Daleana Palumbo) Peace, Matthew (Rebecca Phillips) Peace, Drew Decatur, Jared (Molly) Zentz, Lane (Andy) Hearn and Hannah Zentz; great-grandchildren, Katie Brydon and Jacob Peace; and brother, Troy Peace. Earl was preceded in death by his parents; and sister-in-law, Cloma Peace.

A memorial gathering will take place on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. A memorial service will immediately follow at 5 p.m. also at the funeral center.
