Age 87, of Camby, passed away on August 15, 2017. He was born May 28, 1930 in Benton Harbor, MI to Lyman and Lydia Boyd.
A graduate of Purdue University, Dwight accomplished many business endeavors including his position as founder and owner of DA Boyd Engineering as well as Boyd/Sobieray Associates, Inc., now known as BSA Life Structures. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge-Blue Lodge #720. To unwind, Dwight piloted his own plane and enjoyed train trips with his loving wife, Geraldine. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Ann, whom is the mother of his five children.
Surviving to cherish his memory are wife, Geraldine, children, Bill (Jan) Boyd, Cathy (The late Cliff) VanOstrand, Bob (Sheri) Boyd, Karen (Bruce) Tuttle, and Scott Boyd, two step-children, Pamela French and Kenneth French, as well as 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit from 4-7:30 PM Thursday August 17, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis. The funeral service will be at 10 AM Friday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in his memory to Riley Children’s Hospital, Shriner’s Hospital for Children, or Southside Animal Shelter.
