Duel L Nevins

Duel L. Nevins, 76, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away July 23, 2020. He was born July 2, 1944 in Tipton, Indiana to Luke D. and Willie Sue Nevins; he was one of two sons.

Though born in Tipton, Duel was raised in Celina, Tennessee where he graduated high school in 1962. He married the love of his life, Janis in 1965. The pair spent 44 beautiful years together and remained deeply in love at the time of  her passing in 2009. He began his career with General Motors in 1973, retiring in 2004 at the age of 60. Duel enjoyed fishing, football, going to church, and was always extremely proud of his vegetable garden. He was kind to all he met and deeply loved his children and grandchildren. His passing leaves an empty space in the hearts of those who were blessed enough to meet him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Luke and Willie, and wife, Janis. Surviving to carry on his legacy are sons, Tim Nevins and Steve (Anita) Nevins; brother Leon (Earlene) Nevins; 4 grandchildren, as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

Services are private due to local restrictions. Please contact the family for additional information. Duel will return home to Celina, Tenneesee where he will be laid to rest at Tinsley Cemetery.
