Douglas M. Roever

October 27, 1966 — July 7, 2017

Douglas M. Roever, age 50, passed away on July 7, 2017. He earned degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University and Texas A&M University. Doug was a long time employee of Rolls Royce. Always upbeat and optimistic, Doug had many hobbies. As a boy, he built many model airplanes, eventually flying radio control planes and then earning his private pilot’s license. In recent years he has enjoyed riding his motorcycle. In addition, he was an avid tennis player, captaining his Industrial League tennis team for many years.

Doug is survived by his loving wife Lisa Eagleson-Roever, his parents Frederick and Dee Anne(James) Roever, his sister Dr. Sally Roever (Jason Grubb), nephews Ryan and Lucas Grubb, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 13, from 5-8 p.m. at Flanner & Buchanan-Washington Park North (vigil 7:20-7:40), 2702 Kessler Blvd. W. Dr., Indianapolis, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, July 14 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 3354 W. 30th St., Indianapolis, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the USO or Riley Children’s Foundation.
