Douglas Jerome Akin

Douglas Jerome Akin, 55 of Indianapolis died March 19, 2017. Doug was born on September 23, 1961 in Jerome, AZ to Richard Arthur and Dollena Zelica (Pratt) Akin. Doug served our country in the US Army and was a member of the American Legion Post #497. Doug worked as a deliveryman for PRN Pharmacy before working in the postal mail room at the VA Hospital in Indianapolis. Doug is preceded in death by his father Richard Akin. Calling will be held on Monday March 27, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan-Speedway from 11 am to 2 pm followed by the funeral service at 2 pm. Doug is survived by his children; Bobbi, Cody and John (Rachael) Akin, his mother; Dollena Akin, siblings; David (Mary Ann) Akin, Dean (Lisa) Akin, Deanna Akin, Drew Akin and Darren (Michelle) Akin and 7 grandchildren.
