Dorris Jeanne Campbell

Doris Jeanne Campbell was born October 19, 1923 to James and Harriet (DeBruler) Campbell in Evansville, Indiana. She passed away September 17, 2017 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She graduated from Shortridge High School in 1941 and Butler University in 1948. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. Doris was a teacher for Indianapolis Public Schools for 41 years, retiring in 1989. Doris had a lifelong love of all animals, from chipmunks to horses.

A graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Evansville, Indiana on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. (Evansville time). A special thank you goes out to the staff of Rittenhouse Assisted Living for the care they provided. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Doris’ memory to the Indianapolis Humane Society.
