Dorothy Jean Coyle

Dorothy Jean Coyle, 83, Indianapolis, IN, passed away January 29, 2022. She was born in Lenoir, Tennessee to the late William and Jesse Underwood Bivens on December 1, 1938.

Dorothy was a loving mother to two daughters that she raised alongside her beloved husband of 55 years, Robert L. Coyle. After raising her daughters, she obtained her beauticians license and later took a position in the floral department at Marsh Supermarket in Beech Grove where she worked for more than 20 years and was promoted to floral manager.  Dorothy enjoyed bowling, playing cards, reading, creating floral arrangements, crocheting, and most of all spending time with her family.

She is preceded in passing by her husband, Robert L. Coyle, her mother and father, Jesse and William Bivens, and her Granddaughter Jessica Allen.

Dorothy is survived by her loving daughters, Roberta Allen and Kathy (Jerry) Wilson, Grandchildren Jennifer Allen, Tyler (Stephanie) Wilson, Elizza (Rick) Wilson, and Erika Wilson. Great-grandchildren, Jacob Hulbert, Lilah Wilson, Dean Wilson, and Scarlett Wilson.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Creek Christian Church.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 10-12PM at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, with funeral services to begin at 12PM. Burial to take place at Memorial Park Cemetery.
