Dorothy Hayes

Dorothy Helen (Pressler) Hayes, 91, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 20th, 2020. Sh was born in INdianapolis to parent Opal and Bessie (Hartman) Pressler.

She graduated from T.C. Howe High School (Indianapolis) in 1946 and attended Hanover college.

Dorothy worked as an office manager in several automobile dealerships: Tom O’Brien’s Autotown; Silsby-Jarvis Chrysler; Sports Imports; and Butler Toyota. She retired from SAAB of Indianapolis.

She was a long time member of Irvington Presbyterian Church, and a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her youngest son, Howard J. Sams, who passed away May 4th, 2020.

Survivors include daughters Denise (Hayes) Calpin, and Hayley (Sams) McGath; son David Hayes; son-in-law Jeffrey McGath; and two grandchildren Justin McGath and Kelsey (McGath) Seiler (Wyatt).

Dorothy’s visitation will be Thursday August 27th, 1-2pm, with her funeral service beginning at 2pm, all at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East.
