Dorothy "Gracie" Hauck

Services for Dorothy Grace Hauck, 95, formerly of Indianapolis, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, at Flanner Buchanan-Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St., with calling there from noon. The widow of retired Col. John A Hauck, she died Nov. 19 at her home in Palm Bay, Fla. She was born in Indianapolis Nov. 17, 1926, and was a 1945 graduate of Ben Davis High School, where she was a cadet in the Civil Air Patrol program. She had been an office manager for various businesses, including Orthopaedics Indianapolis, where she worked 10 years before retiring. In retirement, she and her husband volunteered as mentors to area students. She was a member of Church On The Rock, Melbourne, Fl. Survivors include children, M. David Gillaspy, Linda Hein, James A. Gillaspy, Patti Smith, Sally Longoria and Tony Hauck; sister, Jacquelynn Corey and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
