Dorothy E. Miller

Dorothy Ellen Miller 83, of Indianapolis, passed away October 7, 2024. Dorothy was born in Vandalia, Indiana on November 18, 1940, to parents, Everett and Frances (Huber) Corbin. She graduated from Patricksburg High School.

Dorothy held several positions during her employment at Meridian Insurance/State Auto, she worked in the accounting department, as a rater, and most recently as an underwriter during her career, retiring in 2008 after 47 years of employment. She was a member of Community Christian Church, New Palestine IN

Dorothy was preceded in death by her spouse Sidney Miller, a son David Miller (Jamie), her parents Frances & Everett Corbin, a brother Richard “Dick” Corbin, sister Rosemary Prather (Jim) and a brother-in-law James Dye. 

She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Roth (Troy), Sister-in-law Linda Dye, Granddaughter Amanda Doss (Kevin), a great granddaughter Kay Doss, great grandson Franklin Doss, several nieces and nephews

Dorothy loved to spend time with her family and friends. Prior to her husband's passing Dorothy and Sidney would travel quite frequently in their corvette to Las Vegas and Colorado. Dorothy had a special group of friends that she enjoyed playing dominos and euchre with. 

Friends may call from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm October 14th at Flanner & Buchanan- Washington Park East. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on October 14, 2024, at Flanner & Buchanan Washington Park East.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Christian Church.
