Dorothy Gierhart

Dorothy “Dottie” Pearl Gierhart, died November 7, 2016 at the age of 89.

Dottie was born October 26, 1927 to Jefferson Cameron Cornett and Pearlie Belle (nee Stamper) Cornett in Crumpler, WV. She married the love of her life Rev. Bernard “Willis” Gierhart and enjoyed serving others as a pastor’s wife.

Dottie is survived by her son-in-law Jim Evans; daughter-in-law Michelle Gierhart; grandchildren McCall Evans, Cameron Evans, Lindsay Wong, and Lauren Aguayo (husband Justin); great-grandchildren Olivia, Hudson, and Gracie Aguayo; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Dottie was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Bernard “Willis” Gierhart; children James Willis Gierhart, Debra L. Evans, and Marianne Willis Gierhart; as well as nine brothers and sisters.

A Private Celebration of Life Service will be held.
