Dorothy "Dot" Irene Clemons

Dorothy “Dot” Irene Clemons, age 87, of Kissee Mills, Missouri, passed away September 10, 2018, surrounded by family. She entered this world September 25, 1930, in Jamestown, Tennessee, the daughter of Hiram and Martha (Terry) Roysden.

Dorothy retired from RCA/Thompson Electronic in Indianapolis. She was one of thirteen children in the Roysden family. She was famous in her family for her banana pudding and fried apple pies. When anyone received either one, the photos went on social media to make the rest of the family jealous. Dorothy enjoyed hand quilting and doing word search puzzles. The family knows she liked to “burn the trash” at times. She loved her family and many memories have been made.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Luther B. Clemons; son, Ronald Lynn Clemons; and eight siblings.

She is survived by her son, Edward Wallace (Deborah) Clemons of Kissee Mills, Missouri; daughter, Diana Louise (Richard) Heslin of Muncie, Indiana; daughter, Nancy Madeline (Don) Welch of Kirbyville, Missouri; daughter, Judith Gail (Don) Bruns of Marco Island, Florida; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings: Ova Mae Richards, Charles Roysden, Sue Hawkins, Ann Wyatt, and Edmund Roysden all of Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, October 27 at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis.  She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
