Dorothy B. Ausbrooks

Dorothy Burdell Ausbrooks, 91 years old, went to heaven Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 1 p.m.

She was born August 7, 1925 in Bowling Green, Kentucky to Bessie and Raleigh Clay Belcher. She attended Hadley High School. Dorothy was married to John P. Ausbrooks, Jr. of Lewisburg, Kentucky on June 12, 1944.

She was a homemaker, gardener, the best cook ever, her pies are well known. She and Johnnie raised three daughters in a Christian atmosphere, teaching us how to live for God. She was currently attending Calvary Bible Wesleyan Church. After several years of employment, she retired from Best Lock Corporation.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie, her siblings: Howard Belcher and Norma Jean Casey. Also her 5 brothers-in-law and 4 sisters-in-law, and 2 nephews.

She is survived by her children: Brenda (Raymond) Whiteley, Debbie (Wally) West and Rhoda (Donnie) Miller. There are seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great, great grandson. They all called her "Great".

Visitation will be held Friday, March 31, 2017 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan – Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46222.
