Doris L. Dixon- Williams, 90, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 30, 2018.
Doris was born on August 14, 1928 in Indianapolis to the late Walter and Clara Prange and was a Warren Central High School graduate. Doris managed the office operations for Dixon Vending that she owned with her husband for over 30 years. Doris was a devoted Christian, she was a long-time member of Christ Lutheran Church and recently returned to her family church of Zion United Church of Christ. She was a hard-working woman who was dedicated to her family.
She leaves behind her children, William E. Dixon Jr. (Christy) of San Diego, Teresa K. Holden (Byron) of Greenfield, Gary L. Dixon (Yvonne) of New Palestine, James E. Dixon (Tammy) of Carmel; grandchildren, Carly Brubeck, Olivia Holden, James L. Dixon, Joseph S. Dixon, Wm Daniel Dixon, Cameron A. Dixon, Brendon G. Dixon, Allie M. Dixon; and great-grandchildren, Blakelie Brubeck and Braxton Edwards. She was preceded in death by William E. Dixon Sr. and Gerald Williams, along with her sisters, Irene Cook and Mildred Prange.
Friends and family are invited to gather from 11:00am-1:00pm on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan- Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington Street, with a funeral service will follow at 1:00pm. Doris will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery.
