Doris Elizabeth Kovitz, 83 of Pittsboro, IN (formerly of Friendswood, TX) died March 29, 2021. Doris was born in Pensacola, Florida, on April 23, 1937, to William and Helen (Pierce) Lansdon.
Doris was a 50 year member of the Friendswood Church of Christ in Friendswood, TX, and during her time in Pittsboro she was a member of Kingsway Christian Church in Avon, IN, and then a member at Connection Point in Brownsburg, IN.
Doris was employed as a bookkeeper for many years before having her two children and becoming a full time mom. Her main passion in life was for everyone to know the love of Jesus. She was also the greatest prayer warrior we knew. She dearly loved her friends, family and especially those grand and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter Carla (Steve) Berryman, son Jeffery (Debbie) Kovitz; six grandchildren Joshua (Anel) Kovitz, Nikolas (Cynthia) Kovitz, Chloe (Jared) Ogburn, Esther (Aaron) Brown, Noah Berryman and Sophie Kovitz and four great grandchildren, Liam and Isabella Kovitz and Valor and Leo Brown.
Inurnment will be in West Ridge Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Samaritan’s Purse International Relief. Flanner and Buchanan-Speedway are handling arrangements. Online condolences and a video tribute may be viewed at www.flannerbuchanan.com
