Carmel, Indiana

Doris Ann Rainbolt, 76, of Carmel, Indiana, passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, July 12, 2018.  Ann was born September 8, 1941, in Lawrenceville, IL.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Frances Meeks, and her daughter, Angela Rainbolt.

Ann was an active member in the community and was involved in a number of charitable and philanthropic organizations.  She raised her two sons and then worked as an operating room nurse at Community Hospitals for more than 20 years.

Ann’s faith was a guiding force in her life and she was an active member of Orchard Park Presbyterian Church.  She brought light into the lives of every person she met.

Ann is survived by her sons, Geff Rainbolt (Amy) and Greg Rainbolt (Beth); grandchildren, Lauren, Ella Ann, Jake, Maia and Leila; significant other, Harry Kellough; brother, Tom Meeks (Susie); niece, Margie Kreutz (Jose); nephew, Montgomery Meeks (Julie); great nieces and nephews Ashlyn, Lexi, Anna, Joe, Jackie, Dylan, Jillian, Seann and Stephanie; former husband, Dean Rainbolt.

Visitation will be from 11:00am-2:00pm on Friday, July, 20 at Orchard Park Presbyterian Church in Carmel followed by a celebration of life service at 2:30pm.
