Donna Lee Patton

Donna L. Patton of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on April 12, 2023, at the age of 87 from complications related to her blood cancer. Donna was born in Morgan County, IN on August 19, 1935, to parents, Basil and Wanda (Tumey) Haltom. She graduated high school from Arsenal Tech with perfect attendance. Donna worked for AAA Hoosier Motor Club and Standard Oil Company. She then worked for Prudential for 26 years as an Office Manager. During those years Donna & Buddy loved to travel across the country in their RV. Buddy loved his PBR beers and Donna enjoyed sips of good whiskey. At the age of 69, she took a job with Trust Investment Advisors for 15 years. She loved playing cards, dice games, and travelling. She spent most evenings watching the Hallmark Movie channel. Donna’s family members and friends loved her dearly and she will be greatly missed by all.

Donna married Edward “Buddy” Patton on September 15, 1957 and they spent 43 wonderful years together. Buddy preceded her in death in 2000 and she never considered dating anyone after his death. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Lavona Haltom and Saundra Haltom McMahon. She is survived by siblings, Gary Haltom, Patricia Wickliff, Karen Spell Zink and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11am until 1pm, Friday, April 21, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, IN). A Funeral Service will be held at 1pm, April 21, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East. She will be laid to rest next to her late husband Edward at Washington Park East Cemetery.
