Donna Kay Nahre of Indianapolis passed away on February 17, 2022 at the age of 70.
She was born April 9, 1951 in Crawfordsville, IN to the late Flossie (Harrington) Million and raised by Charles Million Sr.
Attended Ladoga High School, Class of 1969. She was a registration specialist for Riley Children’s Hospital for over 20 years and a nail technician for the last few years. She was a member of the Moose (WOTM), and she sang at the Little Nashville Opry for years and all around Indianapolis. Donna Kay loved hosting parties and feeding family and friends. Her heart was huge, and she lived her life like a flame, luminous and warm. Her voice was huge and angelic, comforting and distinct. She loved her Bootsie, and all of her neighbors, friends, and family.
She is survived by her son, Steven; 2 grandchildren; 2 brothers; niece, Karin Million; friend, Brandon Lasley (Sandy); and numerous family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earl L. Nahre; her parents, and her sister.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 12th from 2 PM to 6 PM at the Beech Grove Moose Lodge, 3320 S Emerson Ave, Beech Grove, IN 46107.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to The Shelbyville Animal Shelter, 705 Hale Rd. Shelbyville, IN 46176.
