Donald R. Lorch

Donald Ricky Lorch, known affectionately as Rick. passed away December 2,2024 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family at the age of 65. Rick was born April 29,1959 in Clinton, Tennessee to Donald and Ella (Graham) Lorch

After moving to Indianapolis Rick attended Lawerence Central High School. After graduating he went to work doing mostly Apartment Maintenace and groundskeeping. He also worked part time as a Photographer.

Rick's interests included, photography, classic cars, and gun collecting. He would often go to classic car shows, and loved to go to the gun range with his friends. He had a love for music, his favorite genre being county, especially the old classics.

Rick was preceded in death by his father Donald Lorch in 1987, his mother Ella (Graham) Lorch in 2014, and two of his children Nick age 4 and Mary age 2 in 1991. He is survived by his Daughter Jamie Lorch, Brother Ron Lorch (Cindy), Sister, Barbara Hoffman (Jim), and his three grandchildren Mary, Jeremiah, and Josiah Lorch.

There will be a celebration of life on December 16 at the Flanner Buchanan - Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street from 1 to 3 pm.
