Donald Lee Munn of Fishers, IN went to be with the Lord on August 19, 2023 at the age of 89. He was born in Lansing, MI on August 3,1934 to Gerald W. and Laura Irene Munn. He received a psychology degree from Manchester College and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Michigan State University. He then spent the rest of his life as a licensed clinical social worker and a marriage and family therapist dedicated to serving children, adolescents & families.
In 1962 he joined the original staff at Oaklawn Center in Elkhart, IN. In 1990, he left Oaklawn to establish Crystal Valley Associates in Middlebury, IN. He married Eunice Hochstetler in 1992 and they worked together in private practice and consulted with Wawasee Schools. In 2014, they relocated to Fishers, IN and he worked as a consultant for R3 in crisis care for workplace trauma until his passing.
One of the highlights of his career was the 2002 co-founding of Ryan’s Place in Goshen, IN, a center for grieving children.
He and Eunice were active members at Church of the Brethren in Middlebury where they lead youth mission trips to Puerto Rico, St. Croix & Inner City Chicago. They worked as short-term missionaries for Youth With A Mission in Hawaii and Tanzania.
Donald is survived by wife of nearly 31 years Eunice. Children are Kelly Stoner (Bart), David Munn (Pam), Tony Hochstetler (Shannon), Michael Hochstetler, and Jennifer Krehbiel (Burt), and grandchildren Jessica & Mikayla Munn, Emily, Katelynn & Zac Stoner, and Connor (Cayla) and Logan Krehbiel.
Services to be held at 12:00 pm Friday August 25th at Trinity Church Northeast Campus 9709 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis with visitation from 10AM until the time of the service.
