Donald L. Litmer, 96, Noblesville, passed away September 29, 2019. He was born November 6, 1922 in Covington, KY, the son of late Harry and Anna Litmer. He was married to Blanche (Tullis) Litmer on October 29, 1946. They were happily married for almost 70 years.
Don joined the Navy during World War II serving on the USS Saginaw Bay in the South Pacific. After the war, he held several jobs in the private sector before joining the US Postal Service where he retired after 25 years. In retirement, he loved playing baseball with the Tucson Old Timers and more recently became an avid Chicago Cubs and Indianapolis Colts fan. There wasn’t a sport on TV that Don didn’t like to watch.
Don is survived by his three children, Barbara (Don) Lemen, Jim (Tonie) Litmer, and Tina (Jim) Seebeck; four grandchildren, Andrea (Vince) Papsidero, Jonathan (Kristen) Litmer, Rob (April) Lemen, Anna (Kyle) Mills, great granddaughter, Sadie Mills; and great grandson, Julien Mills.
Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 410 Pearl Street, Cicero, IN. Visitation will begin one hour before mass at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.
