Donald L. Inman, 90, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, January 19th in Indianapolis.

Donald was born on September 1st, 1932, in Indianapolis to parents, Randall and Charline (Slider) Inman.  He graduated from Arsenal Tech High School in 1950. He met and married the love of his life, Lois L (Pearson) Inman, on June 1st, 1952, and they enjoyed a happy marriage together for 70 years.

Donald enlisted in the United States Navy and dutifully served from October 2nd, 1950, until August 3rd, 1954. Donald was very proud of his service to his country, and he was also active in his community, serving as a Member of the Old Bethel United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge #720, Scottish Rite, the Shriners, and was twice-Post Commander of the American Legion Post #495.

Donald was an owner and operator of Standard Oil Service Station. He also managed two carwashes. Later in his career, Donald was an insurance appraiser. He wore many hats, but he absolutely loved his role as an appraiser.

Donald was first and foremost a family man and he enjoyed spending time together with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.   He also loved to camp, fish, bowl, square dance, fly kites, and tell Tall Tales to the enjoyment of all. Donald was one of a kind, and he will be missed sorely by all of the lives he has touched.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lois Inman; daughters, Lynn (Charles) Petry, Valerie (Chris) Hoover, Dawn Foster; grandchildren, Kriste (Tory) Hancock, Rick (Jenna) Meyer, Clifford (Renee) Jackson, Josh Jackson, Amanda (Jonah) Winston, Brandon (Tyla) Pond, Jessi Pond, Nick Pond, Kirstin (Chase) Waldman; and 9 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by daughter, Deborah Jackson; son, David L. Inman; brother, Charles Eugene Inman; and sister, Barbara J. Maxwell.

Visitation for Donald will be held at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street in Indianapolis on Thursday, January 26th from 4:00PM until 8:00 PM.   Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 27th at 11:00 AM at Old Bethel United Methodist Church, 7995 E. 21st Street in Indianapolis.   Entombment at Washington Park East Cemetery, 10612 E. Washington Street will occur immediately following the service with full military honors.
