Donald Herrmann, 94, Carmel, passed away on December 18, 2024. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 7, 1930, to Oscar and Edna, along with sisters Laverne and Dorothy.
Don had a long sales career with U.S Steel. His job led him from Cincinnati, Ohio to Overland Park, Kansas and eventually to Carmel, IN. He loved basketball. They called him the “speedy” guard from Colerain High School. He enjoyed following Purdue and Kansas. He loved a meticulous yard with plants and hostas abounding. He loved to dance and had quite the moves with Doris by his side. Don enjoyed a good walk just to enjoy his surroundings. His biggest joy, though, was being with his family and sharing the love and laughter! A special thanks goes out to nurses and staff at Westminster Village North for their loving care and attention, as well as Transitions Hospice who were there providing comfort until his passing.
He is survived by his loving and devoted sons, Jeff (Nancy), Mark (Susie), and Ryan (Susan); and his beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Tyler (Lisa) Herrmann, Brady (Kali) - Noa, Lea, and Ben Herrmann, Jordan (Ari) - Mia and Miles Ben-Shimol, Whitney (Conor) - Jack, Sloane, and George McGinnis, Tory (Kyle) - Evelyn Langhammer, Jack Herrmann, Emerson Herrmann, Reese Herrmann.
The family has decided on a small private service. In loving memory of Don and in lieu of memorial contributions or flowers, we ask that you simply enjoy a cup of coffee, a glazed doughnut, and relive a fond memory or two…he will be sitting and smiling right there with you. ☕️ 🍩
May Don and Doris, as in life, enjoy each other’s company in eternity. 🙏
