Dona Lund Muskat

Dona Lund Muskat, age 89 died on March 11, 2021. She was born on April 22, 1931, to Harold Lund and Josephine Heinz in Milwaukee, WI. She married Ralph Joseph Muskat her husband of 66 years on September 27, 1952 in Madison, WI.

After graduating from Edgewood High School she worked her way up to executive secretary in the Maddox Accounting firm in Madison. Her career was cut short by the birth of her first child at which time she took on her new role as homemaker.

As a homemaker, she crafted her skills as a wife, mother, baker, gardener, and musician. As a wife, she maintained the love story with her husband Ralph through good and bad times. As a teacher of her children, she practiced the principles of tough love, not always appreciated at the time, but leading to many successes. Her homemade bread, raspberry jams, coffee cakes, pies, and cookies filled her home with delightful memories. Her green thumb kept her gardens thriving and her homes impeccably adorned with flowers and plants year-round. The holidays were capped with carols around the piano. She was truly the best homemaker ever.

She is survived by her four children Barbara A. (Scott) Goodin, Jerome D. (Jan) Muskat, Kathryn M. (Kevin) Aldin, Ronald J. (Betsy) Muskat, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph J. Muskat, her son Daniel J. Muskat, her two siblings Betty Lund and Richard Lund, and her granddaughter Allison Aldin.
