Don Partain

Greenwood, Indiana

Don Partain, 74 years old, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital.  He was born April 5, 1945 in Indianapolis.  His parents were Earl Partain and Rosemary (Moriarty) Partain.  He graduated from Howe High School in 1963.  He attended Indiana University and graduated in 1989 with his bachelor’s degree in Business.  In 1992, he graduated from Indiana Wesleyan with his MBA.  Don worked for Picker X-ray from 1978 to 1989.  In 1989, he began working for St Francis Hospital and retired as the Director of Biomedical Engineering in 2012.  He continued to work part time for the hospital until October of this year.

Don is survived by his wife Sue (Humphrey) Partain of 52 years; 2 sons, Matt Partain and Jeff Partain; 3 grandchildren, Danielle Partain, Jessica (Partain) Burtt, and Josh Partain; 3 sisters Sharon (Partain) Tussinger, Kathy (Partain) Webb, and Mary Anne (Partain) Hoesman.

A celebration of life will take place at 4:00pm, on Saturday January 11, 2019 with a memorial gathering from 2:00-4:00pm at Flanner Buchanan- Washington Park East.
