Dominic William “Dom” Dinunzio, 82, of Delray Beach, FL, passed away in Fishers, IN on December 9, 2021. Dom was born in Hartford, CT on August 14, 1939 to Benjamin and Cleophus (Geeterslough) Dinunzio. He graduated from Wethersfield High School (Wethersfield, CT) and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Springfield College (Springfield, MA). During his career, Dom worked as a Regional General Manager for the Paul Revere Companies, retiring in 1996.
Dom, an avid baseball fan and dedicated supporter of the New York Yankees, played semi-pro baseball until his mid-30’s. He loved sports of all sorts, especially boating and golf. Dom also enjoyed fine dining, his philosophy being a proper meal lasted at least 2 hours. Dom was a member of St. Lucy Parish (Highland Beach, FL), the Italian Men’s Club (Indianapolis), several country clubs and various insurance associations.
Dom, a loving and devoted father, adored his family most of all. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Cleophus. He is survived by his former spouse and best-friend, Marilyn L. Champagne; loving children, Sheri L Champagne and Walter T. Champagne; his dedicated canine companion, Mickey; and many other beloved friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3pm on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church (15176 Blessed Mother Blvd, Fishers). Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 2pm until the mass time.
Memorial contributions in Dom’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
