Dolores Jean Wiker

Dolores Jean Wiker, of Indianapolis passed away January 26, 2018, just one day shy of her 86th birthday. She was born January 27, 1932 in Indianapolis to Bennett and Elsie Mitchell White. Dolores worked at Western Electric for a while and then she retired from Phillips Lau Industries. She was member of Marwood Baptist church and American Legion Post 64. Among her loves were, animals, taking care of people and her church but most of all, she loved her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a blessed woman, surviving cancer two times.

As the last surviving member of her family, Dolores is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Thomas, her parents and her brothers, Bennett White, Jr. and Paul White. Surviving to cherish her memories are her children, Debra Klinger and Jeffrey (Keri) Wiker, her grandchildren, Erin (Steve) Lair, Amy Wittman and Patrick Thomas Nesbit and her great-grandchildren, Adeline Grace, Kayden Thomas and Brodric Jacsen.

Friends may visit with Dolores’ family from 4-8 pm Friday, February 2, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan – Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Road, Indianapolis, IN 46222. A celebration of her life will be at 1 pm Saturday at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Thomas at Floral Park Cemetery.
