Dolly Parrott

Dolly Parrott, 90, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away unexpectedly June 10, 2022. She was born February 4, 1932, in Cumberland, Indiana to the late John Watson and Nellie Idella (Vernon) Alley. She was one of thirteen children blessed to this union. After raising her children, Dolly worked for Hallmark for over 30 years. She loved spending time with her family, enjoyed playing Bingo, Gin Rummy, and Solitaire, was a great storyteller, and in her younger years she was a bowler. Dolly was a firecracker to her last day—she was incredibly witty and spunky and nothing could get by her. She loved being a Grandma to all, whether they were family or not. She was dearly loved and will be missed. Dolly is survived by her children: Betty Parrott, Donald Parrott, Dwayne Parrott; grandchildren, Heather (Stu) Goldberg, Eric (Jackie) Parrott, Hannah Richards, and great grandchildren: Natalie, Faith, Kylie, and Connor. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Parrott, son, David Parrott, and numerous siblings. Services will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022, 1:00 pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with visitation there from 10:00am until the service at 1pm.
