Dixie Lee Warren

81, of Indianapolis, passed away July 5, 2020. She was born on April 24, 1939 in Indianapolis, Indiana as the daughter of Ralph and Irma Caudell.

Dixie worked and retired from Naval Avionics Warfare Center, as an inspector. In addition worked alongside her husband for 10 years, at Wells T.V.

Then after retiring and due to her love of electronics. She went onto work at SAIC, building circuit boards.

Some of her loves were cooking and baking for family and friends. Passing along her recipes, and family traditions. She loved making flower arrangements, homemade crafts, and outdoor gardening. And year’s after retiring she took a PT job at Michaels craft and hobby store where she received great discounts to support her hobbies.

Dixie is survived by her husband of 48 years, William J. Warren, “Bill”. Sisters: Carol, Rita, and Shirley. Children: Carol, Sandy, Michael, Chris, Cathy, Laurie, Dianna, Doug, and Jack.

Grandchildren: Michael, Angie, Shane, Brandon, Nigel, Lauren, Adam, Jessica, Kevin, Rachel, Michael, Ashley, Austin, Danny, Brandon, Andrew, Sid,Caden, Haleigh, Lexie

Great Grandchildren: Emery, Steven, Ethan, Morgan, Owen, Bryant, Jesalyn, Joyner, Ryder, Connor, Harper, Lottie, Harvey, Everett, Gracie, and Quinn.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph/Irma Caudell, and brother Ralph (Skip) Caudell.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 11am – 1pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East. There will be a service following at 1pm also at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society and/or The American Stroke Association and American Red Cross.

At this time the family does ask for all guest to abide by the guidelines put in place by the mayor of Indianapolis. All guests are required to wear a face mask to attend the visitation and/or service. Any guest that does not have one will be asked to leave. Face mask will not be provided by the family or funeral home. All guests are responsible to bring their own.
