Dixie Lee Israel,

82, of Indianapolis, passed away August 29, 2018. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on November 9, 1935 to Louis Brenton Hoyt and Mary Louise Hoyt.

Dixie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Herbert; daughter, Vicky L. Alves Israel; and 1 sibling, Mary Murphy. She is survived by her children, David A. Israel, Kenneth E. Israel, Donna Sue Kleis and Sue Ann Hayden; 4 siblings, Patricia White, Diana Kowalski, Christina Agee, and Brenton Hoyt; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 11am-1pm at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Rd., Indpls. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Christopher Catholic Church, 5301 W. 16th Street, Indpls. 46224.
