Denver D Dingess

Denver D. Dingess, 61, of Indianapolis passed away on November 18, 2021. He was born in Chicago, IL to Denver and Helen Dingess on September 28, 1960.

Denver grew up the youngest of eight siblings. He spent his early childhood years in the hills of West Virginia and formative years in Chicago. He joined the United States Air Force as his young family grew.  They welcomed their sons Denver Charles, Michael and Bryan over the next few years. He was honorably discharged after four years of service. The family then moved to the eastside of Indianapolis where Denver spent the majority of his time playing the drums for every band that he could. He was a diehard Chicago Bears fan and loved anything musical he could get in his hands. He loved fishing and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Denver is survived by his three sons Denver Charles, Michael (m. Lindsay) and Bryan; his grandchildren: Erik, David and Caleb; his siblings: Kathy Harper, James Dingess, Mark Dingess, Benjamin Dingess and Verdena Hunt; and a host of other friends and family. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Denver, and sister Leila.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 8540 E 16th St, Indianapolis, IN 46219, from 11-1PM. A funeral service will begin at 1PM. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Denver, memorial contributions may be made to Roudebush VA Medical Center, 1481 W 10th St. Indianapolis, IN 46202.
