Delmer Stephens

Delmer Stephens, 88, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on January 19^th, 2021.

He was born on October 3, 1932 in Pine Knot, Kentucky to Virgil and Sula Stephens. Delmer moved to Indianapolis when he was 18 years old.

Delmer married Barnettia Jane (Abell) Stephens on August 30^th, 1952. Delmer enlisted in the Army in April of 1953. Delmer worked for Insley Manufacturing, Co. for 19 ½ years and retired from AM General Corporation while working part-time for various machine shops.

Delmer is survived by his loving wife, Barnettia; five children, Kathy Smith (David), Marlin (Brenda), Sheldon (Clair), Tony (Robin), and Ricky; ten grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and six sisters.

Delmer is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Sula Stephens, one sister, and one brother.

Services will be held privately by Flanner Buchanan—Memorial Park. The service will be live streamed, and can be viewed below.
