Debra Lou Lockridge

January 6, 1956 — February 27, 2021

Noblesville, Indiana

Debra Lou Lockridge, 65, of Noblesville left us on February 27, 2021.  She was born January 6, 1956, to James Forrest McBride and Esther Lucille Spice in Terre Haute, Indiana, Debra Lou was the littlest sister of the McBride family, after James, Robert, Judy, Bill, Linda, Connie, and Geary. Dizzy to her father, Debbie to her mother and siblings, Sweets to her husband, Mom and Memaw to her children and grandchildren, Debra had a heart of gold and an overflowing love. She shared her love in many ways, and never hesitated to help family, a friend, or even a stranger in need. Having known hard times herself, she loved that she could share her blessings with others, whether in gifts, time, or helping someone through a rough spot.

She had beautiful hazel eyes, warm hugs, and a child-like spirit. Bright, ambitious, and always a hard worker, she enjoyed a great career, including authoring over 100 video game strategy guides. Yet when she talked about her life, she talked about her friends, children, and husband “whose never-ending love and support gave me strength and happiness every day”. She was over the top with her adoration and pride for her children and grandchildren. She would absolutely beam when telling you about any one of them. She loved lavender roses and gardenias, and holidays surrounded by family, when she always cooked for an army. She wanted to see the world, dreamed of visiting Ireland, but she made her family her whole world and poured into them.

The self-proclaimed “Gaming Memaw” is remembered and dearly missed by her husband Mike – her love of the last “1000 years”; her daughter Heather Cassady, her husband David and their children, Keeley and Liam; her son Adam Moseman and his daughter Shay; her stepchildren, David Lockridge, his wife Kasee, and their daughter Kayla, and Emily Lockridge and her daughter Tori; Dan Moseman, Heather and Adam’s father; her sisters Connie Suns and Judy Lehman and her brother Geary McBride; dear friends Karl and Kathy Kindig, Doug and Cheryl Williamson; many nieces and nephews; cherished fur babies and granddogs; and more family and friends than can be listed.
