Debi Duppstadt and her twin brother Robert were born in 1958 in Fort Worth, Texas to their parents, Lois and Jay Robert “Duppy” Duppstadt, and welcomed by her sisters, Carol Zimmerman and Gayle York. The Duppstadts lived in Hurst, Texas, home of Bell Helicopter, where Duppy worked as an aeronautical engineer. Their ultramodern home, designed by Duppy, was always filled with love, Debi and Robert’s friends, and every sort of art, craft, sewing, automobile, construction and engineering project imaginable.
Debi graduated from L.D. Bell High School in Hurst in 1975, then graduated with a Journalism degree from TCU in Fort Worth before relocating to Indianapolis. Debi was a talented and successful advertising and PR professional in Indy for many years, and made her mark writing and producing work of all kinds.
Debi and our whole family was filled with joy in April 1999, when Debi and her husband Greg Perry welcomed their baby son Mason into their lives. Mason has been at the center of Debi’s life ever since, and as you all know, every conversation with Debi included her expressions of admiration, pride, and love for Mason.
Debi was preceded in death by her parents, Lois and Duppy Duppstadt, her husband Greg Perry, and her niece Diane Finley Parrotta. She is survived by her son Mason Perry, siblings Robert Duppstadt, Carol Zimmerman, Gayle Rork, Jim Duppstadt, and Ann Doris, and her nieces and nephews Nicaela Duppstadt, Brystal Duppstadt, Steve Zimmerman, Amy Rork, Anthony Parrotta, and their children Jack Rork, Sam Rork, Greta Zimmerman, Marlena Zimmerman, and Eva Parrotta.
Debi was an irreplicable spirit in our hearts and our world, and her memory will always be with all of us she touched in life.
