Deborah "Debbie" Sue Miner

April 22, 1954 — December 4, 2021

Brookville, Indiana

Deborah “Debbie” Sue Miner, 67, of Brookville, Indiana passed away peacefully December 4th,2021, surrounded by love. She was born April 22nd, 1954, in Hagerstown, Maryland to parents Paul and Vivian (Henson) Nigh.

Debbie grew up in Hagerstown where she met many of her lifelong friends. She graduated from North Hagerstown High school and was a proud flutist in the marching band.

In early adulthood, she moved to Cincinnati, Ohio. There, she met her soulmate, Greg Miner. As the story goes, he proposed with a case of beer and one diamond earring. In 1977, they were married, and shared 44 wonderful years together.

Debbie was a very hard worker. She worked many jobs throughout her life including an aid for Franklin County schools, quality inspector at Ford/Visteon, and most significantly her husband’s right-hand woman for his machining company.

Debbie was vibrant, compassionate, and tough as nails, with a wonderful sense of humor. In her younger years, she liked to go cruising with her friends and buying records. She was very talented at basket weaving, even hosting classes for it at her home.  After moving to Indiana, she and her husband transformed a shabby barn into their warm, beautiful family home. Debbie loved to be outdoors and spent countless hours gardening, planting, and pulling every single weed in sight. She was an excellent mother, always heavily involved with her daughters’ school activities and interests. Shopping always brought her joy, whether she was clothes shopping for her family, or searching for trinkets at antique malls. Debbie always loved listening to music, as well as attending musical theater. Later in life, she really enjoyed watching TV and completing jigsaw puzzles. Most of all though, Debbie loved talking on the phone, “gathering dirt”.

She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. The world will not be the same without her.

Left to cherish her memory is her adoring husband Greg; daughters, Piper and Emma Miner; brother, Paul N. Nigh, loving extended family and countless friends, whom she loved like family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother Bobby Nigh; her beloved pug Pepper, and a league of other pugs and pets.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Flanner Buchanan and a memorial service in Brookville, Indiana will be held at a later date.
