Dean Walter Siedelmann, 86 of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on November 26, 2022.
Dean was born January 1, 1936 in Casey, Iowa to Walter John and Pearl Ina (Sharon) Siedelmann.
He was a graduate of Thorton Fractional High School, Lansing, Illinois. He raised his children in Dyer, IN, and had homes in Zephyr Hills, FL and Monticello and Indianapolis, IN. He was a residential and system installation and repair electrical technician for what was Illinois/Indiana Bell and later AT&T for his lifelong career until retiring in 1991. Dean was an active church member in choir and administration and a 4th degree Knight of Columbus member and former Grand Knight of the Monticello, IN chapter while organizing many fundraisers for charity. He coached his son’s CYO basketball team, daughters’ softball teams and son’s little league and travel baseball teams in Dyer, IN. He built his home in Dyer with his father and help from family.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Cecilia Siedelmann; daughter Connie Wilson-Lee; sister Bethene Robinson; brother Edwin Siedelmann and his parents, Walter and Pearl.
He is survived by his daughter Barbara (Jon) Dahlstrom and son Scott (Charlotte) Siedelmann; son-in-law, Steven Lee; grandchildren, Robert (Cory) Webb, Jennifer Polanco, Kevin Dahlstrom, Christopher (Jennifer) Wilson, Douglas Siedelmann, Carolyn (Eddie) Verrett and Nathan Siedelmann and great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Webb, Lilly Siedelmann, Natalie Polanco, Molly Polanco, Baleigh Siedelmann, Cora Verrett, Lucy Wilson Cataleya Verrett, and Miles Wilson.
A Memorial Mass will be Monday, December 5 at 11 AM in Holy Spirit Parish at Geist in Fishers with a Gathering 10 AM until the time of mass. He will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gibault Children’s Services, 6401 S US Hwy 41, Terre Haute, IN 47802.
