David W. Montgomery

David W. Montgomery, 86, of Carmel,IN, passed away November 20, 2016. He was bornOctober 21, 1930 in Indianapolis to Loyd S. and Nona(Brummett) Montgomery. David was a US Army Veteran having served inKorea where he was held as a POW for 28 months. Hereceived The BronzeStar and The PurpleHeart in addition to other decorations. He was a retired civil service employee, andalso worked at Naval Avionics and at P.R. Mallory. David wasan avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his golfing friends and was agraduate of Butler University.

His mother and father, his brothers, Jesse Edward, RoyD., John P., and Robert L. Montgomery, and his sister, P. Sue Montgomerypreceded him in death.

David is survived by his wife M. Carol (Wood)Montgomery, son Edward D. Montgomery, brothers James L. and G.Stephen Montgomery; also surviving are many beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeralservices will be held 2:00 PM Friday, November 25,2016 at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington ParkEast, 10722 E. Washington St.,Indianapolis, IN 46229. Friends maycall from 11:00 AM until service time on Friday. Burial willbe in Washington Park East Cemetery with military honors.
