David T. Stege, 87, passed away on February 19, 2023 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on December 8, 1935 in Chicago Heights, Illinois.

David joined the Navy in November of 1953 and was stationed mainly in the Midwest. He liked working on cars in his early years after leaving the Navy, but his true love was being an “over the road” truck driver for North American Van Lines. He has been honored with numerous service awards from these organizations for his efforts.

He was musically talented being able to pay “by ear” the piano, guitar and his favorite instrument – the accordion. He was also gifted with a great singing voice and preferred to sing gospel music.

He is survived by his daughters, Debra Reames and Chris Sylvester, his brother George Stege, his grandchildren Jeff Brain, Dawn & Michael Yarbrough as well as his niece Heather Stege.
